QIPCO British Champions Series heroine Integral features among a star-studded line up of 10 female champions set for the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.

The five-year-old, who narrowly missed out on the Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes earlier this season behind Night of Thunder, has failed to fire this season.

Integral has been entered alongside French raiders Esoterique and Miss France, as well as French 1000 Guineas runner-up Irish Rookie.

Andre Fabre, trainer of Esoterique and Miss France, said:

“The plan is for Esoterique to run and I am told that the ground is likely to be good.  She is training well and I am delighted with her at the moment.”

“She was visually quite impressive in the Prix Jacques Le Marois on soft ground and then it was even softer at Longchamp for the Prix du Moulin so we withdrew her. I am convinced that she is a better filly on good ground.”

“She is five years old now and, like most horses, has become stronger and easier to train.”

“Although she was beaten, I was quite pleased with Miss France last time as she had been off for almost a year with a splint injury. It is not easy to get horses race fit at home and she ran well.”

“I am hesitating over running her in the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes or going for the Prix de l’Opera the following day. She could still be a bit short of her peak fitness.”

“I am very fond of Newmarket Racecourse because the ground there is much better than anywhere else, especially at this time of year. I also like the straight course – races there tend to be fairly-run and there are no excuses.”

Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes entries:

Bawina, Esoterique, Integral, Miss France, Fadhayyil, irish Rookie, Maimara, Malabar, Raydara and Realtra.
