Tickets on sale for QIPCO British Champions Day 2012

Tickets for QIPCO British Champions Day 2012 at Ascot on Saturday 20 October are now on sale and can be booked via Ascot by clicking HERE.

Premier Enclosure tickets, which sold out in advance last year and seem certain to do so even more quickly this year, cost £47 and Grandstand tickets £26.

There are advance booking discounts if you have a group of family or friends who would like to go with you and purchase 10 or more tickets at one time.

Last year’s attendance of 26,749 was a record for an autumn Flat card in the modern era and subsequent market research revealed that 90% of those who came are likely to purchase tickets again for this October.

No less than 76% rated it as amongst the best racedays they had ever attended.

The quality of the racing on Britain’s richest ever raceday, the spectacular climax to the QIPCO British Champions Series, was exceptional and every effort will be made this year to attract the best horses to Ascot once again.

The QIPCO British Champions Series, which showcases the 35 best races in the British Flat racing calendar, kicks off with the QIPCO 2000 Guineas at Newmarket on Saturday 5 May (can Camelot follow in Frankel’s footsteps and stamp himself as another potential all-time great or would that be too much to ask for?!)

A steady stream of world class races will follow with the two best racehorses on the planet both likely to be in action in the Series in May and June.

The mighty Frankel’s reappearance is likely to come in the JLT Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on Saturday 19 May and sensational Aussie sprinter Black Caviar’s eagerly awaited European debut is currently scheduled for the Golden Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot on Saturday 23 June.

What a fantastic year lies ahead. If you thought last season was good, hold your breath for this one!
