What do the times reveal about Frankel’s Queen Anne victory and can he prove even more lethal in Wednesday QIPCO Sussex Stakes? Image courtesy of racingfotos.com.
BCS TV presented by the Armchair Jockeys today delivers a brand new instalment looking ahead to three mouthwatering contests at Glorious Goodwood, together with a fascinating analysis of what Frankel achieved on the clock when winning the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot with such devastating ease.
Frankel is targeting back-to-back victories in the QIPCO Sussex Stakes, race five in the QIPCO British Champions Series Mile division which the Sir Henry Cecil-trained colt has utterly dominated.
That great race on Wednesday is followed by Thursday’s Artemis Goodwood Cup, race three in the Long Distance division, while the week concludes with the Markel Insurance Nassau Stakes, race five in the Fillies & Mares category.
Godolphin’s Racing Manager, Simon Crisford, looks ahead to the QIPCO Sussex Stakes, in which his stable supply the main opposition to Frankel in the shape of Coral-Eclipse runner-up, Farrh, and also assess Colour Vision’s chances of backing up his Gold Cup victory in the Artemis Goodwood Cup.
Willie Mullins believes the Artemis Goodwood Cup is tailor-made for Simenon in his interview, while John Gosden assesses the chances of The Fugue in the Markel Insurance Nassau Stakes, agreeing that ten furlongs could be her ideal trip.
