Celebrating Horse Racing’s Heroes
The QIPCO 2000 and 1000 Guineas kick off the 2013 British Champions Series and one trainer who has landed both races is Mark Johnston. The Middleham trainer landed the first biggest success of his training career when Mister Baileys raced to victory in the Newmarket Classic in 1994, before following this up with Attraction in the fillies’ version ten years later, and BCS TV have been to visit him to discuss what it’s like to win these first major reasons of the season.
Mark talks about his Guineas triumphs before going on to discuss his hopefuls for Newmarket on the first weekend in May, Heavy Metal and Baileys Jubilee. Both horses has successful juvenile campaigns, visiting the Winners’ Enclosure on three occasions, and they are due to contest trails at the Rowley Mile before hopefully contesting the 2000 and 1000 Guineas respectively.
