The Epsom Oaks front three of Talent, Secret Gesture and The Lark are amongst a 43-strong entries list for the QIPCO Fillies and Mares Stakes on QIPCO British Champions Day in October.
The Group 2 contest, which was elevated to Group 1 status in 2013 doubling in prize money to £500,000, has been well supported by the best-rated fillies and mares in training and also includes the front three home in the Irish Oaks, Chicquita, Venus De Milo and Just Pretending.
Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Just The Judge has been entered, following her run last week in the Artemis Goodwood Cup at Glorious Goodwood, with the filly that finished third in that race, Hot Snap, also being aimed at the British Flat finale on Saturday 19th October.
Hot Snap’s stablemate Riposte, who won the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot in June – providing her trainer Lady Cecil with her first winner at the royal meeting, has been included in the entries list.
Last year’s winner Sapphire, who has not run since her Champions Day victory, has been entered by Dermot Weld to make back-to-back successes at Ascot. The 2012 runner-up, Shirocco Star, has also been added to the line-up.
German trainer Peter Schiergen has intriguingly entered Nymphea, who finished a tight second at Haydock in June before comfortably winning a very valuable Group 1 in Germany last month.
Other entries include, the Lancashire Oaks champion Emirates Queen, 2012 Nassau Stakes winner The Fugue and the highly-thought of Irish runner Alive Alive Ohh.
If you want to be at Ascot on Saturday 19 October to witness these stars doing battle, then make sure that you secure your tickets today via the racecourse website!
