QIPCO British Champions Series star Al Kazeem showed he has still got what it takes after winning on his seasonal reappearance in France on Monday.
Roger Charlton’s Prince of Wales’s Stakes and Coral-Eclipse champion was a comfortable winner of the Group 2 Prix d’Harcourt at Longchamp under top Series rider Ryan Moore.
Al Kazeem is likely to next race in the Prix Ganay, before running in the Middle Distance division of the Series later in the season.
The seven-year-old produced a herculean effort to finish a narrow second in last season’s QIPCO Champion Stakes behind Noble Mission, with the QIPCO British Champions Day contest earmarked as one of his main targets in 2015.
