Trainer Clive Cox is “thrilled” with leading Queen Elizabeth II Stakes contender Kodi Bear ahead of his battle against Solow and Gleneagles on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot.
The three-year-old has been ultra-impressive whilst winning in Group 3 and Group 2 company at Salisbury and at Goodwood this season, and his trainer is hoping that he can realise a personal dream to win the prestigious contest on Saturday 17 October.
“Kodi Bear is very much on track for the Queen Elizabeth II,” Cox said. “I am very happy with him and am thrilled with the way the season has gone for him.”
“I am quite relaxed about ground conditions for him, he is very versatile in that respect, and it also helps that he won a Listed race at Ascot last year so we know that he acts well on the track.”
“He was very impressive in the Celebration Mile and having a leading contender for a day like QIPCO British Champions Day is what you dream about, it’s very exciting.”
