Alpinista secured her first Group 1 win on home soil to take the Darley Yorkshire Oaks at York Racecourse.
Ridden by Luke Morris, the Sir Mark Prescott-trained five-year-old saw off tough competition from the Irish pair of Tuesday and La Petite Coco.

Alpinista has a reputation of being an utter professional and with today’s performance you can see why.
The daughter of Frankel looked noticeably calm pre race and never looked troubled during the race against a strong field at York.
She held a steady pace throughout and obliged when asked to kick on by Luke Morris in the back end of the race to outpace the Cazoo Oaks winner Tuesday.
Alpinista outran her odds of 33-1 to finish second in the Darley Yorkshire Oaks behind Love in 2020, but has blossomed into a top-level winning machine since and took her unbeaten run to six when an impressive winner in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud on her return last month.
The Darley Yorkshire Oaks is the final QIPCO British Champions Series Fillies & Mares race before the finale on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot in October.
The Group 1 race, for fillies and mares aged three years or older, is run at York over 1 mile 4 furlongs (2,400 metres) and is part of the Welcome to Yorkshire Ebor Festival.
Alpinista is one of the early entrants for the QIPCO British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes at British Champions Day at Ascot on Saturday 15 October.
