Strong field of 15 line up for the QIPCO 2000 Guineas

The QIPCO 2000 Guines has attracted a 15-strong field for the first British Classic of the season.

Aidan O’Brien, 10-time winning trainer of the race, holds a typically strong hand with Battleground, Van Gogh and favourite Wembley. However, St Mark’s Basilica notably has not been declared, having been near the top of the antepost betting in the build up.

Both Godolphin runners Mater Of the Seas and One Ruler stood their ground as the boys in blue seek to land the British Classic once again. William Buick will be on board Master Of The Seas, leaving James Doyle to partner One Ruler.

Thunder Moon, Chindit and exciting prospect Mutasaabeq also line up in a wide-open looking contest this Saturday.
