Outsider Live In The Dream storms to Nunthorpe Success

Live In The Dream provided the biggest win in the career of both trainer Adam West and jockey Sean Kirrane with victory in the Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes.

The four-year-old son of Prince Of Lir beat Group 1 winners led from pillar to post; beating highly-touted rivals Highfield Princess and Bradsell in the process.

Reflecting on their seismic achievement after the race, trainer Adam West commented; “This is amazing, everything happens for a reason. We didn’t get good luck at Deauville. We swerved America to come here and it looks like he’s going out there now with the ticket.

“This is a horse we’ve had so much fun with and so much faith in. He’s been with us since a yearling, what a journey. I never thought it was possible to win it.

Speaking to ITV’s Oli Bell post-race young rider Sean Kirrane, who still holds an apprentice license, “I have to say a massive thanks to the owners for maintaining the faith in me. Having me on today and keeping the partnership intact, they deserve a lot of credit.
