The world’s best racehorse has one big racecourse engagement left as he seeks win number 14 in his outstanding, unbeaten career – the £1.3m QIPCO Champion Stakes at Ascot on Saturday 20 October.

That race, the highlight of QIPCO British Champions Day, is the most valuable mile and a quarter race in Europe and it promises a fantastic climax to Britain’s richest raceday.

Frankel will, however, make one additional racecourse appearance prior to that in his hometown of Newmarket before the start of racing on the Rowley Mile this Saturday.

After arriving at about 12.45pm, he will take a couple of turns in the Parade Ring before heading out on to the track with two gallop companions, Bullet Train and Midsummer Sun.

The gallop will take place at 1pm with Tom Queally, who has ridden Frankel in all 13 of his races to date, on board the Sir Henry Cecil-trained superstar.

All three jockeys will be in owner Khalid Abdulla’s famous silks.

The first race is at 1.55pm when a fascinating afternoon will unfold with the ex-French star, Beauty Parlour, making her first start for Sir Henry Cecil in the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes.

If she runs well on her first start since her defeat in the Prix de Diane in June, the French 1000 Guineas winner will head to the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes sponsored by QIPCO, the race before the QIPCO Champion Stakes at Ascot on 20 October, when a clash with Excelebration will be on the cards.

Before then on Friday we have the final QIPCO British Champions Series race prior to QIPCO British Champions Day – the Nayef Joel Stakes on the Rowley Mile for which the declarations will be made tomorrow.
