Series stars set for mighty Coronation Cup clash

A plethora of top-class QIPCO British Champions Series stars are among the 24 entries for the Investec Coronation Cup on Derby day at Epsom Downs, including last year’s winner Cirrus des Aigles.

The Corine Barande-Barbe-trained hero registered a cosy success against Flintshire last season in the contest, and the French pair have been entered for the Group 1 race again.

Gallic stars expected to travel over do not stop there as the highly impressive Dubai Sheema Classic winner Dolniya has also been given an entry by trainer Alain De Royer-Dupre.

Dermot Weld’s Free Eagle, expected to be a serious contender in the Middle Distance division of the Series this campaign, also holds an entry for the clash in the Coronation Cup.
