Series stars aiming to hit Arc rivals for six

Six QIPCO British Champions Series will feature in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Chantilly on Sunday.

The clear favourite, at a general 10-11, is the outstanding Enable, who has lit up the Series this year with her runaway wins in the Investec Oaks, QIPCO-sponsored King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and Darley Yorkshire Oaks.

She will again be partnered by Frankie Dettori and remains engaged in the QIPCO Champion Stakes at Ascot on October 21.

Heading the opposition is Winter, another triple winner in the Series this year, and Ulysses, victor of the Coral-Eclipse and Juddmonte International.

Winter will be joined by stablemates Capri, the William Hill St Leger winner; Order Of St George, who landed the Gold Cup last year; and Seventh Heaven, superb winner of the Darley Yorkshire Oaks last year, plus Idaho.

Other Series stars in action at Chantilly on Sunday include Marsha, winner of this year’s Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes, and Profitable (2016 King’s Stand Stakes) in the Qatar Prix de l’Abbaye.
