The 2011 Investec Oaks winner Dancing Rain is to sell at Tattersalls today in foal to QIPCO British Champions Series legend, Frankel.
Trained by William Haggas, the five-year-old mare was retired after a superb career that also saw victories in Dusseldorf, winning the German Oaks, as well as at Ascot in 2011 in the QIPCO British Champions Fillies’ And Mares’ Stakes on British Champions Day.
Dancing Rain was sent to be covered by Frankel earlier this year and will now be sold at Tattersalls in Newmarket, with the expectation that she will be knocked down for a lucrative price.
Also on sale is the 2011 Coronation Stakes winner, Immortal Verse.
In foal to Dansili, the sire of John Gosden’s Series stars The Fugue and Winsili, the French raider was an impressive winner at the Royal meeting two years ago and is also expected to sell well for connections.
In addition to these, throughout the December sale, the dams that produced Ascot Gold Cup champion Colour Vision, sprinting superstar Lethal Force and QIPCO British Champions Sprint Stakes victor Slade Power are all set to be sold.
