Leading Classic contenders for both the QIPCO 2000 Guineas and QIPCO 1000 Guineas stood their ground for the Newmarket contests at the latest scratching stage.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained Glenagles and Highland Reel remain in the 34 entries for the Rowley Mile Classic, alongside winners of the three main trials Kool Kompany, Home of The Brave and Muhaarar.

Eye-catching trial performer Estidhkaar and Irish star Zawraq remain entered for owner Sheikh Hamdan, while Faydhan, who disappointed in the European Free Handicap, has been scratched.

Similarly, John Gosden has also scratched Golden Horn for the contest, with the Dante Stakes at York a likely next destination for the exciting three-year-old.

Meanwhile in the QIPCO 1000 Guineas, 25 entries remain, including the short-priced ante post favourite, Found.

O’Brien’s star filly is joined by Together Forever, Nell Gwyn Stakes heroine Osaila, and the first three home in the Fred Darling Stakes – Redstart, Jellicle Ball and Tiggy Wiggy – among the entries.
