Lucida will bid to give Irish trainer Jim Bolger a second British Classic success at Newmarket in three years on Sunday after she was declared alongside 12 rivals for the QIPCO 1000 Guineas.

The three-year-old, who was victorious on the Rowley Mile last season in the Group 2 Shadwell Rockfel Stakes, will not face long-time ante post favourite Found at the Suffolk-based track, after she suffered a setback in her preparations earlier in the year.

Stablemate Together Forever also did not stand her ground for QIPCO 1000 Guineas, leaving Qualify as the sole entry from Aidan O’Brien’s Ballydoyle yard.

Barry Hills’ Fadhayyil, Nell Gwyn winner Osaila, as well as Fred Darling 1-2 Redstart and the Andrew Lloyd-Webber-owned Jellicle Ball, are also notable contenders set to race on Sunday.

Full QIPCO 1000 Guineas declarations: Fadhayyil, Irish Rookie, Jellicle Ball, Legatissimo, Local Time, Lucida, Malabar, Osaila, Qualify, Queen Nefertiti, Redstart, Terror and Tiggy Wiggy.
