Night of Thunder features among 19 Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes entries

Last year’s QIPCO 2000 Guineas hero Night of Thunder stars among the 19 horses entered for the Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes at Newbury this weekend.

Richard Hannon’s four-year-old, who will race for Godolphin this season, features alongside last season’s Falmouth Stakes and Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes heroine Integral and French raider Karakontie.

The Hannon family’s record in the West Berkshire track’s feature contest has seen the title head back to Herridge Stables three times in the last five renewals, and the Champion Trainer will also potentially saddle British Champions Day third Toormore for the Group 1 race.

Fans’ favourite Top Notch Tonto also features among the entries.
