Leading contenders star among Epsom Champions Series contests

A plethora of QIPCO British Champions Series stars remain engaged in the Investec Derby, Investec Oaks and Investec Coronation Cup at Epsom Downs this week.

Favourite for the Investec Derby Golden Horn has been supplemented for the British Classic and will join stable mate Jack Hobbs among a star-studded entries list of 15 that includes Elm Park, Zawraq and Giovanni Canaletto.

Gosden is also well represented in the Investec Oaks, with Musidora Stakes heroine Star of Seville and Pretty Polly Stakes champion Jazzi Top featuring for Clarehaven Stables.

QIPCO 1000 Guineas star Legatissimo, Sir Michael Stoute’s Crystal Zvezda and Aidan O’Brien’s Diamondsandrubies join the 14 fillies entered for Epsom.

The Investec Coronation Cup has a Gallic flavour to proceedings with last year’s runner-up Flintshire joined by Dubai Sheema Classic winner, Dolniya.

The pair are joined by Champions Series star Tapestry among the 7 entered for the Group 1 contest.
