Free Eagle among Prince of Wales’s Stakes entries

QIPCO British Champions Series star Free Eagle remains engaged to make his seasonal reappearance in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot next week. 

Dermot Weld’s four-year-old, who finished a commendable third in the QIPCO Champion Stakes last year behind Noble Mission, is set to face 10 rivals in the second day feature race at the Royal meeting. 

US star California Chrome, Group 1 champion The Grey Gatsby and Royal Ascot winner Eagle Top are among the contenders entered for the lucrative contest. 

Western Hymn and Cannock Chase are also joined by International raiders Criterion, Ectot, Gailo Chop and Spielberg at Ascot.
