Brazen Beau will look to put his narrow Royal Ascot miss behind him as he lines up alongside 14 contenders declared for Saturday’s Darley July Cup at Newmarket.

The Australian-based sprinter, who has recently been bought by Godolphin and will race in the famous royal blue silks of Sheikh Mohammed’s racing operation, will be ridden for the first time by jockey James Doyle.

Brazen Beau faces a number of fancied sprinters in the prestigious contest, including the first ever winner of the Commonwealth Cup Muhaarar, talented speedster Muthmir and last year’s runner-up Tropics.

Five-furlong specialist Sole Power has also been declared for the contest, alongside stable mate Anthem Alexander, despite not winning over the distance in nine attempts.
