Great Voltigeur rivals Storm The Stars and Bondi Beach will get a chance to showcase who is the mightier in the Ladbrokes St Leger after featuring among the 12 contenders remaining for the Doncaster British Classic at the final forfeit stage.

William Haggas’s Storm the Star controversially defeated Bondi Beach by a narrow margin on the Knavesmire during the Ebor Festival, but connections of the pair will be hoping that their competitor will showcase their class on Town Moor next month.

Bondi Beach joins Fields of Athenry, Order of St George, Hobart and Giovanni Canaletto as the other Ballydoyle candidates.

John Gosden’s Mr Singh is another prominent contestant that remains for the contest.
