Impressive Royal Ascot and Joel Stakes winner Time Test looks increasingly likely to run on QIPCO British Champions Day – providing good weather conditions continue – according to trainer Roger Charlton.

The three-year-old, who holds entries in both the QIPCO Champion Stakes and the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, devastated his rivals at the Royal meeting before going on to win at Newmarket at the weekend.

Charlton – who has since compared Time Test favourably to the stable’s previous QIPCO British Champions Series star, Al Kazeem – is now looking ahead to Ascot for his star to attempt to win a first Group 1 contest.

The trainer told www.rogercharlton.com: "Time Test’s rating was adjusted by the official British Horseracing Authority Handicapper to 119, after his win last Friday in the Joel Stakes. He has come out of the race well and is particularly fresh and well.

"If this ‘Indian Summer’ could remain as it is until Champions Day then that would give him the option of both the QEII and the Champions Stakes."
