Golden Horn pipped to Longines World’s Best Racehorse title by American Pharoah

QIPCO British Champions Series legend Golden Horn has been beaten by American Grand Slam champion American Pharoah to be crowned the 2015 Longines World’s Best Racehorse.

The three-year-old Investec Derby and Coral-Eclipse winner ranked second in the listings with a rating of 130, compared to the Bob Baffert-trained icon’s 134.

Other notable Champions Series stars to feature in the top 10, include Champions Day winners Solow and Muhaarar, Arc heroine Treve, the ‘Beast from the East’ Able Friend and Prince of Wales’s Stakes champion Free Eagle.
