The King Edward VII Enclosure (formerly known as Premier) has sold out for QIPCO British Champions Day on Saturday 15th October at Ascot Racecourse. There are now only tickets remaining for the Winning Post and Queen Anne Enclosures (formerly Grandstand).

The end of season finale boasts four Group 1 races and is Britain’s richest raceday, with an incredible £4.2 million in prize money on offer. Now in its sixth year, the day has attracted strong entries and some of Europe’s most exciting horses in training, including top miler Galileo Gold, the French-trained Almanzor and speed queen, Mecca’s Angel.

Gates open at 10.30am and the first race of the day is the Group 2 QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup which is followed by four Group 1 contests and Europe’s richest mile handicap – the Balmoral Handicap.
Top class racing is matched with plenty of entertainment off the track which will run throughout the day and into the evening, including the crowning of the 2016 Stobart Champion Flat Jockey and Britain’s Champion Flat Owner.

This year, there will be a dedicated fan zone where young racing enthusiasts can enjoy meeting a retired racehorse, taking part in Pony Club activities and riding lessons from Official Jockey Coaches. The excitement doesn’t stop there; entertainment will continue as the sun sets over Ascot when chart-topping artist Sigala hits the decks at the official after party along with BBC Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox.

As well as some of the world’s best sporting action, QIPCO British Champions Day is the perfect family event with Under 18’s admitted free of charge. Following on from the success of last two years, 2,500 students will again be able to attend for FREE – for more information about student tickets head to the British Champions Series website.

Don’t delay in securing your spot to QIPCO British Champions Day by visiting the Ascot Racecourse kiosk.
