Not many QIPCO British Champions Series winners run at the Cheltenham Festival but the versatile Max Dynamite could be heading back to Prestbury Park in March.

Rich Ricci, owner of the Willie Mullins-trained eight-year-old, who won the 2015 Lonsdale Cup and has twice made the frame in the Melbourne Cup, believes he has what it takes to again run well in the County Hurdle.

Max Dynamite was fourth in the 2015 running of the two-mile handicap and Bet365 agree and make him 10-1 favourite to go three places better.

I still believe, although I don’t know how everybody else feels, that Max Dynamite is well handicapped over hurdles and his target is the County Hurdle,” Ricci said.

“If you’re looking for a sleeper from me, he should run well if he gets there in one piece.”
