2017 dual Derby hero Harzand has clearly been a busy boy as a multitude of his first crop of foals have  hit the ground in recent weeks.

The filly pictured at Al Eile Stud in Ireland was described by stud manager Pat Connell as “a strong filly, very correct and athletic.”

Harzand was best known for his athletic mix of bravery and stamina as his 2016 Epsom Derby victory ahead of US Army Ranger and Idaho showed.

FASCINATING ROCK

2015 QIPCO Champion Stakes hero Fascinating Rock produced his first foal as a sire last month and what a beauty she looks!

A filly out of the well-related Serenity Dove arrived at Ringfort Stud and is clearly already settling into her home well.

KINGMAN

Kingman and his sleepy foal

This sleepy soul is by none other than star Series miler Kingman! The little filly was welcomed into the world at Longview Stud and is a half-sister to Martyn Meade’s listed 2YO winner Childa.

The pressure of being the daughter of such a superstar like Kingman clearly isn’t stopping the little lady from enjoying her sleep.

For anyone that needs a refresher in quite how devastating a star Kingman was then this recent video produced by his owners Juddmonte.

THE FUGUE

Watership Down Stud in Berkshire recently welcomed the third foal out of three-time Series winner The Fugue.  Speaking to the Racing Post, the stud general manager Simon Marsh commented, “The Fugue has foaled an exceptional colt. It’s early days but at this stage we couldn’t be happier.”

The new arrival, by Dubawi matches up with The Fugue’s previous two fillies by the same sire. There’ll no doubt be huge interest in how this young colt develops and all things being even he’ll be a warm order when he makes his racecourse debut in 2020.

SLADE POWER

Slade Power foal watch

This handsome colt is the son of three-time Series-winning Sprint star Slade Power. Speedy things will be expected of this bonny looking chap as he follows in the hoofprints of his electric father who won over £1 million in prize money throughout a glittering career.

Here he is landing the first of those Series wins on QIPCO British Champions Day back in 2013.
