Capri could make his return in the in the Group Three Toals.com Bookmakers Alleged Stakes at Naas on Sunday.

The grey won the William Hill St Leger last season, a race that forms part of the Long Distance category of the QIPCO British Champions Series, and Aidan O’Brien has indicated he will run in the €63,000 contest at Naas if ground conditions are suitable.

He also has Cliffs Of Moher, runner-up in the Investec Derby, engaged in the race plus Yucatan and Clear Skies.

O’Brien said on Tuesday morning: “We have left four in the Toals.com Bookmakers Alleged Stakes including Capri.

“He galloped in Naas last week and we were very happy with him and ideally we would love to start some of the horses in the Alleged Stakes but the ground would be a concern at the moment and we’ll just have to see what happens with the weather in the next couple of days before we make a decision.”

The Ralph Beckett-trained Air Pilot is also among ten entries following his impressive victory in the race last year and fresh from landing Group Three honours already this season in France.
